The relegation threatened Cardiff City changes the coach at the end of the champions sprint of the season – and puts players Aaron Ramsey on the sidelines. The 34-year-old Welshman was on the ground ten times this season, but has missed again with a thigh injury since mid-March. Now he replaces Ömer Riza, for whom after 40 games in power.
At the end of September, Riza initially took over at the last place of the table. Under his direction, the club was just a rank. Three days of match before the end, the savings bank is at a point from a distance: while Cardiff has 42 points in the account in 22nd place, the Derby County is in the forefront of non-relief 43.
For Ramsey, this is the first stop as a trainer. He has been going 52 times for Cardiff since 2023 and has contributed six goals and three models. He ended the majority of his career for FC Arsenal (369), where he also reached his greatest market value of 45 million euros in May 2018.
