Benzema, his new nod to Algeria

Karim Benzema continues his son’s expression with his Algerian races. This Tuesday, the former French international (97 caps) published on the Instagram account a photo of the famous green Fennecs jersey, printed with his name with the number 9. The jersey is available on June 2 for the Algerian national team, during of a notable visit during his vacation to his parents’ country.

A symbolic gesture appreciated by Algerian supporters

This appearance is not a first. In June, while visiting the Algerian team before their match against Guinea, Benzema received this jersey from the Fennecs. The striker from Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia, author of 10 goals and 11 matches this season, continues to make an impression not only on the field, but also by publicly displaying his attachment to Algeria.

For Algerian supporters, this new photo reinforces the gap between the 2022 Ballon d’Or and the national colors. Although Benzema has turned the page on his career with the French team, his attachment to his roots remains intact, and this wink did not fail to provoke a positive reaction on social networks.
